Today the van picked up a really nice table and 6 chairs. Anna* a Mum of 3 kids had asked for a table & chairs to help give her children a good eating routine.

When we planned the van run we asked Anna* if she wanted all 6 chairs - but she only wanted 4. So we had 2 spare chairs...

Sam asked me. "What shall we do with the other 2 chairs?"

I said. "I dunno, I'm sure God will give us somewhere." Then, looking through our referrals folder I found a recipient we'd delivered a table to. "Maybe she'll want them"

So Sam got her number & picked up the phone to call her.

As he did the the phone rang; it was a housing support worker. "I'm working with a lady who's got a kitchen table but really needs two chairs".

Amazing. God was on the case - he had a home for those 2 chairs. It reminds me that God cares about every small thing.

Afterwards Sam said to me, "I had an incline before I picked up the phone that the call would be about the chairs - maybe I should have just offered the chairs? Maybe I'll do that next time!"
